The Passeport show is in French, but is also accessible to non-French speakers, as smartglasses allow the show to be viewed with English surtitles.
Smartglasses are extraordinary, enabling English-speaking and hearing-impaired audiences to follow the representation.
From Friday 19 July, all Friday and Saturday performances at the Théâtre de la Renaissance will be available in English!

The story
Issa, a young Eritrean left for dead in the Calais « jungle », has lost his memory. The only tangible reminder of his past is his passport, he embarks on a long and arduous quest to obtain a residence permit, surrounded by companions in misfortune.
« Generally speaking, I never write on a theme, but rather base my work on a specific idea or situation, which then gives rise to the architecture of the show. I wrote this new play in Guadeloupe, on my own, after having matured its contours for over a year, and having made extensive enquiries. It’s not militant or documentary theater, but a human story for everyone. »

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Smartglasses project the content of the chosen language directly onto the glass without obstructing the view of the stage.
The content is superimposed on the original field of vision. You can choose the option that suits you best and adapt the settings (surtitle, choice of language, size, positioning of the supertitle, colour and brightness). The glasses are compatible with glasses.

The device is accessible regardless of the location in the room. Requests must be made at least 24 hours before purchasing tickets.
HOW DO I USE IT?
On the day of the performance, collect the glasses from the cloakroom in our auditorium. Our staff will be on hand to help you get to grips with the glasses and make the necessary adjustments.

Access to the Théâtre de la Renaissance auditorium is on the SECOND floor WITHOUT an elevator. Difficult access for unaccompanied people with reduced mobility.
Luggage and large bags are not allowed in the theater.

Payment is made via a fully secure system. Tickets can be collected directly from the Théâtre de la Renaissance box office on the evening of the show, approximately 30 minutes before the start of the performance.
Tickets can be rented directly from the theater box office without booking fees:
Tuesday to Saturday: 2pm to 8pm

To make a reservation by telephone, please have your credit card ready, and enter the 16-digit number on the front of your card. A booking fee will be added to the ticket price. Please note that once the reservation has been made, the total amount corresponding to the rental of your seats will be automatically debited from your card. Once the transaction has been recorded by our services, no postponements or cancellations will be permitted. Tickets reserved and paid for by telephone can only be collected on the day of the performance, approximately 30 minutes before the start of the show, at the “control” desk.
